Jane's Waffles from Joan Jensen

Mom would serve these on Sunday mornings with lots of whipped cream and strawberries.  Seemed like it took hours to make them, but heaven when they were ready!

4 eggs, separates
2 cups milk
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsps sugar
4 tsps baking powder
2/3 cup melted butter

Beat the egg whites, and set aside.
Beat the egg yolks, then mix in the milk.
Combine the dry ingredients and add to the milk mixture.
Fold in the melted butter.
Fold in the egg whites.
